Ephesians 2:8,9 NIV Jesus Christ did all of the work of salvation when He bore the sins (past, present, and future) of the whole world. The only reason anyone will go to hell (the Lake of Fire) is because they never believed in Jesus Christ. The issue is: "What do you think of Christ?": "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the Name of God's one and only Son." John 3:16-18 NIV You cannot buy your salvation: "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect." 1 Peter 1:18,19 NIV Once you are saved, God wants to continue blessing you:  "He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all--how will he not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32 NIV So how can you get these blessings during your life on earth?  "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." Luke 11:28 NIV Obviously, to obey you must first hear the Word of God. After you have believed in Jesus Christ, you should start a daily Bible study program under the direction of a Pastor-Teacher who teaches from the Bible. "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
